It’s Official, There is Finally an All Female African-American Flight Crew. African-American women continue to demonstrate professionalism, intelligence and unlimited potential as they contribute to our overall struggle for unlimited freedom, access and opportunity in America. The sisters on Flights 5202 and 5106 (a jet owned by Atlantic Southeast Airlines) have proven that African-American women can do anything if just given a fair opportunity.
They made history on Thursday, February 12, 2009 as the first all African American female crew.Captain Rachelle Jones, and First Officer Stephanie Grant.

Muammar Gadhafi on WVON-AM todayOn Tuesday, October 25, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, of the Nation of Islam, is scheduled to discuss the recent killing of Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi and Western action and policy toward the North African country on the Cliff Kelly Show over the airwaves of WVON-AM 1690, Chicago's Black talk radio station, between 4 pm and 6 pm Central Time.

The media is invited to attend and submit questions to host Cliff Kelley for Minister Farrakhan to address on-air. Interview requests are also being accepted at this time. Accredited media should arrive by 3 pm to be in place for the live radio broadcast. The WVON studios are located at 1000 East 87th Street Chicago.
WVON radio airs on the web @ http://www.wvon.com A round table discussion of U.S. policy and developments in Libya will follow from 6 pm to 7 pm, and include noted activists, Pan Africanist and human rights advocates. The media is invited to attend. After the segment with Min. Farrakhan, the on-air panel discussion about Libya will include Abdul Akbar Muhammad, international representative of the Nation of Islam; Zaki Baruti of the Universal African Peoples Organization; Ali Baghdadi of the Arab Journal; Conrad Worrill of the National Black United Front; and activist Pat Hill of Black People Against Torture.

Marine vs. 30 Cops

United States Marine Corps. Sgt. Shamar Thomas from Roosevelt, NY went toe to toe with the New York Police Department. An activist in the Occupy Wall Street movement, Thomas voiced his opinions of the NYPD police brutality that had and has been plaguing the #OWS movement.

Thomas is a Marine Veteran (2 tours in Iraq), he currently plays amateur football and is in college.

Thomas comes from a long line of people who sacrifice for their country: Mother, Army Veteran (Iraq), Step father, Army, active duty (Afghanistan), Grand father, Air Force veteran (Vietnam), Great Grand Father Navy veteran (World War II).

Wesley Snipes is not Just an Actor. For those who don't know, he has studied with Ausar Auset Society, Queen Afua and Dr. Sebi. He Received his doctorate in Fine Arts from SUNY, is a 5th Degree Black Belt. He was the first Black Man that I know of who named his film company in Beverly Hills an African Kemetic Name "AMEN RA" Films~The Acronym means African Minds Engaged In Royal Affairs and the first film produced by Amen Ra Was 'A Great And Mighty Walk-Dr. John Henrick Clarke'. He had plans to continue with a 'Black Scholars' Series featuring Dr. Ben and other Scholars before his tax troubles arose. He was an outspoken conscious Brotha in Hollywood who was unapologetic about his Blackness. He wrote the forward for The Journal of Pan African Studies and tells of his first wife (a Black Woman) and his contact with Dr. Clarke. Ok, Black women feel let down by the fact that his second wife is Korean, and some feel he should have 'just paid his taxes'. But he is a revolutionary that believed in Justice and Righteousness and face it, there are NO Tax laws for personal income tax, the IRS is a gang! Rally behind this Brotha. Who knows what is next in store for any one of us.

The chances of a new U.S. recession are rising rapidly as employment and housing remain depressed and Europe's debt crisis threatens to spill over, according to a number of prominent economists.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke on Tuesday described the recovery as "close to faltering," economists at Goldman Sachs said the United States is on "the edge" of recession, and forecasters at the Economic Cycle Research Institute said the country's economy was "tipping" into another downturn.

Bernanke delivered the warning in testimony to the Joint Economic Committee of Congress, saying the Fed — the U.S. central bank — is prepared to do more to support the recovery.
